Tigers 2 – 0 Welland

After a short break due to bad weather and half term today was always going to be a testing game.

The Tigers started well with some great passing to open up Welland. James went down the wing and passed to Mason who found Max in the box one on one with the Keeper to make it 1 -0 in the first few minutes. Max was running well at their defence and came close only for Welland to defend well. They were putting in some heavy tackles, as the Tigers pushed for another goal, corners continued to be won. Drew and Ryan were clearing the back line well and Ryan almost came close in the box from a corner. Then Max scored his second after some great skill. We finished the half well, camping in their half; James was unlucky with his shot being saved at the back post.

The second half started in more or less the same manner having the best of the territory and the possession. But Welland slowly started to get back into the game; we were starting to switch off. But Drew battled well in defence to stop Welland scoring. Ollie and Jake opened up down the line well only for Ollie cross to be put out for a corner. We started to lose our shape and discipline and Ewan made a clutch of good saves to prevent Welland from scoring.

The game finished 2-0 which was an excellent result against a very busy Welland side, well done to both teams.

MATCH REPORT

Tigers 5-0 Welland Juniors

After a fantastic win last week the Tigers were set to turn it on again.

From the off the Tigers put pressure onto Welland’s defense with Max running havoc down the right and James on the left.

Mason eyed a free kick from well out of the box, he hit the ball to see it go over the keeper 1 – 0. Then with more pressure saw James knock the ball in from Mason’s cross, then James made it 3 – 0.

The Tigers were passing the ball around well, Drew was running well out of defense going around players, Mason made it  4 – 0, he was after his next goal and it soon came with some fantastic running, going around 4 players. Half time 5 – 0.

After the break Jake and Drew tried to make it onto the score board only for Jake to hit the woodwork twice. The Tigers tried so hard to open up Welland with all the players trying so hard’ but it was not to be.

Once again the Tigers showed how they can knock the ball around which has its rewards with another excellent win. The boys played a brilliant game of football.

Max was Man of the Match and Drew got the Tiger.

                                     GOOD LUCK

U9's During the break we have seen our newly formed squad begin to develop as individuals and as a Team. We now look forward to the 2009/2010 as all our White Tigers develop further.

Good Luck to all our players for the Season ahead.
